Workers of Bioptická laboratoř s.r.o. are very active in publication. Over the last ten years of the existence of the lab, they have published nearly 400 research publications. Most of these works are published in impacted prestigious journals. For example, in 2008, workers of Bioptická laboratoř s.r.o., published 41 publications only in journals with an impact factor; these journals were mostly the best American professional pathology journals.
Prof. M. Michal, MD is a member of the editorial board of International Journal of Surgical Pathology and Annals of Diagnostic Pathology. From January 1, 2003, he is a member of the editorial board of Virchows Archiv - the official magazine of European society of pathologists. He is also a member of the editorial board of the journal Seminars in Diagnostic Pathology, International Journal of Surgical Pathology and the journal Applied Immunohistochemistry & Molecular Morphology. Furthermore, from January 1, 2008, he is in the editorial board of the journal Human Pathology. He is co-author of two fascicles of the latest classification of tumors of the World Health Organization, namely "Soft tissue and bone tumors" and "Head and neck tumors." Prof. A. Skálová, MD, PhD and Prof. M. Michal, MD are members of the group for head and neck cancer at the European Society of Pathologists and North American Head and Neck Group. Prof. A. Skálová, MD, PhD. is co-author of the last classification of "Head and neck tumors" of the World Health Organization. Assoc. Prof. A. Chlumská, MD, PhD is our best gastroenteropatologist, as well as Iva Kinkorová Luňáčková, MD, MIAC is our leading expert in gynecological cytology. Prof. Ondřej Hes, MD, PhD is co-author of the new classification of renal tumors of International Society of Urologic Pathologists, so called Vancouverske ISUP classification 2012, which is used as a core for new WHO classification (blue book). He is the author and co-author of two chapters of new WHO 2016. Prof. D. Kazakov, MD, PhD is an expert in dermatopathology and currently one of the dermatopatologists publishing most in world literature. He is a member of editorial board of the American Journal of Dermatopathology and the editorial board of Dermatopathology (Assistant Editor). He is also co-author of the final classification of tumors of the skin of the World Health Organization.
